Service Description

This tour involves leaving your car at the Ambergate hub and taking yourselves and your bikes on a short train journey to the pretty village of Duffield which is located within the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Area. Although classified as an Intermediate tour because it has one section going through a field track most of the rest of the ride is on quiet country lanes The route then follows minor roads to the west of Duffield into the rolling foothills of the southern Pennines to reach Kedleston Hall. The estate road offers a magnificent entrance to and views of the Hall following the Cutler Brook through parkland before exiting the estate to the north. Quiet and picturesque country roads again run north until the village of Muggington is reached passing the wonderful Cock Inn. This traditional country pub is well worth a stop for refreshment. The tour then follows minor roads, paths and field routes to the east, crossing the Ecclesbourne Steam Railway and then through the villages of Hazelwood and Blackbrook. Beyond the tour passes the Bulls Head at Belper Lane End to follow the scenic Derwent Valley Heritage Way before crossing the River Derwent to the rear of our Ambergate Hub. Cancellation Policy

Running Tours is our business so as a general rule we cannot accept last minute cancelation requests where we cannot easily re-book the date. If you need to change the date of your pre-booked tour we do ask for at least seven days notice so that we have the opportunity to re-book your slot. There is no additional charge for changing the date of your tour. If you give us less than 7 days notice and we cannot resell the slot we reserve the right to charge a 50% re-booking fee. We do not offer refunds on cancelled tours only the opportunity to re-book As a general rule we will not cancel any eBike tours based on the weather unless the conditions are so extreme they are not safe for cycling. We use the Met Office to monitor if any severe weather warnings are expected
