eBike Tour & Kayaking on the Derwent
Full day out combining a tour through stunning countryside with a kayaking trip on the River Derwent
Service Description
A great full on day out for all action lovers combining a 27 mile off road eBike tour with a kayaking session on the River Derwent. The eBiking element of this multi-activity tour begins and ends at the Miners Standard in Winster. Our route first explores the wonderful market and lead mining village of Winster before following minor roads out to its smaller neighbour of Elton. It is then quiet minor roads offering wonderful country views out to Middleton by Youlgreave. Little used roads and then farm tracks allow the High Peak Trail to be joined just south of Parsley Hay. The cycle trail is then followed all of the way to Black Rock enjoying along the route the rich history of the railway line and the ancient history of Minninglow Hill. You will need to be at Black Rocks for 1pm where you will park the bikes and get kitted up for your Kayaking Adventure on the Derwent. You will be taken by mini bus to the start point then spend 2 hours exploring our beautiful local river including tackling some minor rapids. You will then be taken back to Black Rocks to complete your journey back to the Miners Standard Following your adrenalin rush activity it will then be a more sedate return along the High Peak Trail to exit at Longcliffe and passing through the pretty hamlet of Aldwark for a short cycle back to the Miners Standard where you can share tales of your adventures Difficulty - Blue Easy Tour Theme - Rivers & Reservoirs Surface - Minor roads, short section of main road, cycle paths, tracks Distance - 27 miles (eBike Tour) Time allocated - 6 hours Refreshment Stop Options - Miners Standard, High Peak Trail and Black Rock Cafes Tour Ref - 41

Cancellation Policy
Running Tours is our business so as a general rule we cannot accept last minute cancelation requests where we cannot easily re-book the date. If you need to change the date of your pre-booked tour we do ask for at least seven days notice so that we have the opportunity to re-book your slot. There is no additional charge for changing the date of your tour. If you give us less than 7 days notice and we cannot resell the slot we reserve the right to charge a 50% re-booking fee. We do not offer refunds on cancelled tours only the opportunity to re-book As a general rule we will not cancel any eBike tours based on the weather unless the conditions are so extreme they are not safe for cycling. We use the Met Office to monitor if any severe weather warnings are expected
