Service Description

This tour explores the Derwent Valley to the south of Ambergate and passes to the west of the popular market town of Belper before returning to the hub Your journey starts when you cross the Derwent and make your way through the old wireworks industrial buildings to Holly Lane where the eBike will make short work of the steep climb up to the popular picnic area of Alport Heights You will then travel through quite country lanes through the hamlet of Shottle before joining some beautiful off road tracks and then back onto quite lanes before you descend into Duffield After a very short stretch of main road you will again climb through quiet country lanes until you reach the traditional English Holly Bush Inn at Makeney which is a perfect location for a halfway refreshment break Next you drop back down to the A6 for a couple of hundred metres before climbing up the hill and meandering down the scenic Chevin Road enjoying stunning views of the Derwent Valley. Cancellation Policy

Running Tours is our business so as a general rule we cannot accept last minute cancelation requests where we cannot easily re-book the date. If you need to change the date of your pre-booked tour we do ask for at least seven days notice so that we have the opportunity to re-book your slot. There is no additional charge for changing the date of your tour. If you give us less than 7 days notice and we cannot resell the slot we reserve the right to charge a 50% re-booking fee. We do not offer refunds on cancelled tours only the opportunity to re-book As a general rule we will not cancel any eBike tours based on the weather unless the conditions are so extreme they are not safe for cycling. We use the Met Office to monitor if any severe weather warnings are expected
