From Winster the route passes via stunning back lanes through the remote villages of Elton and Middleton by Youlgreave to join the High Peak trail near Hartington. Visit the old signal box at the entrance to the trail. You may exit the track at Hurdlow for refreshments at the wonderful Royal Oak before encountering the stunning Upper Dove scenery and distinctive limestone peaks of Dragons Back ridge.
