Art for Arts Sake Tour

Service Description

Spend an idyllic day browsing small art galleries, relaxing in cafes and cycling down country lanes and paths in stunning surroundings of the White Peak area The tour starts from our Winster Hub at the Miners Standard and climbs up the picturesque single track Birchover Lane to Birchover before moving onto to Stanton and then dropping down to our first gallery stop in Rowsley. Just outside of Rowsley we pick up the Coombs Road Gravel Trail which takes us onto to our 2nd stop in the picturesque town of Bakewell home to multiple galleries, refreshment options and even a photography exhibition From Bakewell we journey out to explore some lovely unspoiled villages linked by wonderful country lanes. The tour visits Sheldon and Earl Sterndale before dropping down into Buxton the creative heart of the Peak District and home to multiple galleries exhibitions and even more refreshment options. The tour price includes collecting you and the bikes from Buxton but if you fancied another 17 miles on the bikes you could ride back to Winster!!! By their nature small galleries do tend to open and close quite frequently so we have based our tour around the two creative hubs of Bakewell & Buxton which always have multiple options for you to browse. We will provide a detailed list of galleries for you when we send your tour joining instructions. This tour allows plenty of time for browsing but involves 4 hours of cycling down country lanes & tracks to reach your destination. Difficulty – Intermediate Red Tour Theme - Art & Culture Surface- Minor roads, closed roads, gravel tracks & cycle paths, small section of main road. Cancellation Policy

Running Tours is our business so as a general rule we cannot accept last minute cancelation requests where we cannot easily re-book the date. If you need to change the date of your pre-booked tour we do ask for at least seven days notice so that we have the opportunity to re-book your slot. There is no additional charge for changing the date of your tour. If you give us less than 7 days notice and we cannot resell the slot we reserve the right to charge a 50% re-booking fee. We do not offer refunds on cancelled tours only the opportunity to re-book As a general rule we will not cancel any eBike tours based on the weather unless the conditions are so extreme they are not safe for cycling. We use the Met Office to monitor if any severe weather warnings are expected
