The Peak Potter 2 Day Adventure Tour

Service Description

Pack your panniers and set off on a 2 day adventure around the Peak District. The route is around 60 miles long and is based on a renowned mountain biking route developed by local Peak District riders. Price includes eBike / Helmet / Pannier hire & 1 nights accommodation with breakfast at the Chequers Inn on Froggatt Edge (or alternative if fully booked). Other meals should be budgeted for separately. Please note shared room means a double or twin room shared with another member of your group. If you are a single participant you only have the option of your own room. From our Winster hub the first day involves cycling up and down white peak dales and passing through delightful limestone villages en-route. Farm trails traverse between Chatsworth Estate and Haddon Hall until the market town of Bakewell is reached. Then you follow estate roads into Chatsworth allowing glimpses of the remarkable stately home and grounds. The route then travels north through Baslow and along moorland tracks and trails to the lovely Sheffield suburbs of Dore, Whirlow and Ringinglow. An opportunity for refreshment at a few moorland hostelries await before passing through the stunning Longshaw Estate and down into Froggatt where the traditionally english Chequer's Pub awaits. A lovely spot to relax and perhaps take in an evening meal before your breakfast awaits the next morning (breakfast inc). Day 2 involves meandering down through the lovely villages of Calver & Curbar before taking narrow bridleways high onto Longstone Moor. Amazing views await you looking down on Ashford in the Water before entering Great Longstone. Then join the lovely Monsal Trail passing through old railway tunnels and cuttings whilst experiencing some of the most fabulous Peak District landscapes. The valleys is left behind at Millers Dale and another climb onto moorland awaits. The High Peak Trail is joined before a final opportunity for refreshment at a Peak District gastro pub. It is then only an hour back to the Miners Standard mostly on trails to complete this lovely yet exhilarating 2 day break.
